If they made performance tuning, probably most of the synths and plug-ins have received some tweaking, making it a whole new installation. I'm as miffed as the next guy that Apple is charging updates for what should be a free download. But given the addition of 2 new synths and new FX, I think $20 is very reasonable. Ableton charged over $100 for their latest update (aka Operator) and you didn't hear nearly as much from the Ableton userbase. If the package offers something you need - $20 will not break the bank. And hopefully the $20 they charge will continue to keep the $$$ flowing to the good Doctor to keep this app alive and kicking well into the future. The recent rumblings about Apple's new "Pro-Audio" app have me worried...kind of . Placed my pre-order today.
