New Autechre — And “What Does it Mean?”

Autechre’s new album Untilted is here from Warp Records, available for MP3 download or live streaming. Go enjoy!
So what the heck does their name mean? The Words of Autechre explains this mystery (audio technology research? audio architecture?), as well as the words of their songs by disc. If you’d rather not know, stay away. (via audioserve)
And they still apparently use Elektron gear. They’re launching a massive tour in Europe and North America, so go check them out!

PS, as a reader so quickly noticed, the title of the album is UnTILTed, not UnTITLEd. I have become the first of what is likely to be the ninety zillion people who get it wrong. Now I’m going for more coffee before my next typo is a lethal one.

What, now you want me to get things RIGHT on the FIRST go? Jeez. ;)

I managed to typo a clever title into a cliched one. Pity.

Let me just say that I love listening to Autechre, but I saw them last tour and was soooo bored. I’m sorry, but watching dudes fiddle around on a laptop does not make for a good show.
