where people are putting links to their remixery? I've done seven of them, myself, and would like to, at this point, hear what everyone else is doing with it.

I know that he use Digi and Apogee stuff on the front end. From what I heard, he only uses PT for mixing.

I found that photo, BTW, here. There are other interesting images posted there as well.

I should have qualified: Pro Tools was used for this MIX. Probably his engineer uses PT.

Let's see what's cooking in that studio:
Digi HD hardware (Logic front-end?)
Logic 7 host
Arturia softsynth
Reaktor
way too much hardware
. . . and that's just for starters.

. . . when you play live, you can't instantly "mash-up" the track by "remixing" live sound by . . . removing the guitarist.

I keep playing, and I can still hear him.

Fortunately there was that 4'33" Silent Moogerfooger from earlier in the month -- there's technology for better living.

;)

(tomorrow I'm back to drummer jokes . . . look out . . .)

Yes, of course. And then, eventually, artists won't release each actual track, but just the concept of each track ("should sound like a duck in heat") and a suggestion for lyrics ("bitch about your life--here!").

And then, artists will just release visual squiggles that listeners will have to interpret with whatever musical implement they have at hand. They may need a few friends to fill out the parts, but it might be some new kind of get-together: a group of "musicians" "play" "live!".

Happy planet.

Dude, not sure if you'll see this response (email me next time!) I had issues with the syndication included with Mambo; it was broken. I've managed to fix it.

Update your RSS feed with this new link:

http://feeds.feedburner.com/createdigitalmusic

That's what we call unintentionally crippling something -- when it's broken. It's broken everywhere, not just bloglines. It'll take a while for the new RSS to catch on.
