I attended this event and thou it didn't have a large crowd, under 200, it was really a sweat event. I was able to chat with Professor Jam (well worth my time), DJ Marchello, Silvio from Denon (had a great new controller), Gary Leee (the singer of the Rodeo Song and a Digital DJ) and many others. The ability to sit in the seminars, workshops and networking made the Summit one of my favorite and I will attend this November 18. They are charting a tour bus to take guys over to the LDI Show - details are here http://www.computerdjsummit.com/welcome.html

If you attend post here so I can meet you.

Looking again in context, that's exactly what it is. Shows what I know; I hadn't heard that term before.

I was hoping for something more exotic . . . but computers for karaoke = no-brainer, for sure!

Well, think of me what you will, but I enjoy occasionally getting out and belting out a tune, so I'm fairly familiar with this one: a KJ is a Karaoke Jockey.

I'm not sure how much of the content of the summit will apply to these guys, however more and more of them are choosing to rip their CD+Gs to their PCs to eliminate the potential for physical damage associated with handling discs in the dark.

One can only handle the ever-popular David Allen Coe track You Never Even Call Me by My Name so many times before it starts skipping and angering drunken would-be caterwaulers. :D
