The effects section is expanded and fleshed out over the previous version; once I get EP-3 I'll put them side by side and sort out exactly what's different. There are some additional controls on the tremolo, aren't there? (on the road, so I can't check) Scala microtuning is nice, certainly, as is recording capability. I suppose the big question is how much they've changed the underlying models, and whether you can hear that -- or, if you're happy with EP-2, if you should just stick with that. It also supports two different pickup types. It's actually not particularly clear to me what's new in EP-3 besides the few additional effects, but I'll probably upgrade anyway. :sigh EP-2 has wah, phaser, tremolo and delay.
