Ah yes...the travel guitar.

Although I am no big fan of their regular-sized guitars, I use a Wasburn Rover RO-10 (see link below) which is cheap but, with a 24 scale, feels like a guitar (I have played some with shorter scales that feel too much like a mandolin for my taste).

It comes in a great case with is definitely better than a gig bag, but not quite as damage resistant as a hard-shell (hey, that’s why I don’t like to spend too much money on a travel guitar!).

In addition I drilled out the strap pin hole and added a quick n’ dirty acoustic pick-up (the Artist Transducer) with a ¼ inch endpin jack to plug-in to.

The output goes to a Korg Pandora PX4A, which is the acoustic version of Kevin’s (with similar features except for distortion/amp modeling etc…but hey, if you need that, just buy one of the other Korg models). Korg’s Acoustic Modeling compensates quite well for the thin (but not unpleasant) sound of this guitar.

Other than that, portable headphones (don’t go so small that you lose Bass response), slide capo, e-bow, Mp3 player (to plug-into the Korg to compose against my background tracks), picks, guitar humidifier, etc. (As you can see, the Washburn case has ample room…)
