I've been waiting years for Pro Tools to have notation editing and printing capabilities. I can't believe how long they have passed over the musicians who use notes. I (and I blieve many others) will jump in the Digidesign family when they make Sibelius part of pro tools.

M-Audio products suck. Pro Tools sucks even more. And now Sibelius will, too.

Two great companies teaming up. The merger should provide enhanced products for composers, producers, arrangers, and educators. Page turns may soon be extinct.

I wouldn't be too worried. Digi has taken a pretty hands-off approach with M-Audio, and I expect them to do the same with Sibelius. A lot of this has to do with the business end, marketing and distribution. I think Sibelius will continue to listen to their customers.

Those Avid boys are sure growing fast. So far, it's been a real winning series of mergers. I hope though that they don't end up becoming the AOL/TimeWarner of music software, cause we all know how well that partnership went.
