protools has got to be one of the worst programs when it comes to being user friendly! I feel like I want to pull my hair out everytime I use it!!!!

I’ve been waiting years for Pro Tools to have notation editing and printing capabilities. I can’t believe how long they have passed over the musicians who use notes. I (and I blieve many others) will jump in the Digidesign family when they make Sibelius part of pro tools.

Two great companies teaming up. The merger should provide enhanced products for composers, producers, arrangers, and educators. Page turns may soon be extinct.

That score notation addtiona to protools will be a much more useful upgrade to protools that upcoming avid video intergration… due in version 7.2

I wouldn’t be too worried. Digi has taken a pretty hands-off approach with M-Audio, and I expect them to do the same with Sibelius. A lot of this has to do with the business end, marketing and distribution. I think Sibelius will continue to listen to their customers.

Those Avid boys are sure growing fast. So far, it’s been a real winning series of mergers. I hope though that they don’t end up becoming the AOL/TimeWarner of music software, cause we all know how well that partnership went.
