I love the Trevor Rabin era of Yes. And yes, he’s been using Mac’s for a while. I think the album Open Your Eyes was done on a Mac.

Oh, and the 90125 album cover graphics were plotted using an Apple II.

Trevor has been a Mac guy forever .. I remember that my 7500 (8MB RAM & a 1GB HD!!) came with some extra system sounds created by Trevor way back on OS 7.0 or thereabouts.

My top Rabin soundtrack recommendation: The 6th Day. Yes, I do mean Arnie’s SF / Cloning thriller. I borrowed this, and it had a soundtrack-only audio track on the DVD. After the blandness of Con Air, Armageddon etc., this is where he started sounding like himself again IMHO…

PS: his album Can’t Look Away is top stuff too.

Heck, yeah. And it sounds like it is true that Jackson and other members of the cast told the studio that changing the name to something silly like “Atlantic Air Flight 211″ or whatever they called it would kill it.

It’s a movie that’s absurd, escapist, and done entirely for fun. Sounds like just the thing. I’ll let you know.

And, of course, now we know Trevor had to watch it hundreds of times. ;)

Say what you want but Sam Jackson is one smart mofo! See, he knew, he KNEW what the potential of Snakes On a Plane had. He knew that if it turned out great then that would be great. He also know that if it turned out to be rotten that it would STILL be great. Either way he placed his bet he KNEW that he was going to win. SOP is gonna smash the box office. Nothing is in the way to stop it for quite some time. Genius or ingenious, call it whatever you likel. He KNEW!
