I’ve got a CME board– the manual (or some literature) mentions something about how they sprouted up as a research arm of Yamaha. The UF series keyboards have “chunky” transport controls and toggle buttons that smack of the ones on the Motif ES series. As in, they may as well have come from the same parts bins…

*Excellent* keyboard if you’re into the semi-weighted/synth-action/solid-feel thing.

Where did you find that CME were owned by Yamaha? According to their own site they used to distribute Yamaha in China (and of course, now Yamaha distributes them in the USA). Ironically, CME is distributed by MI7 Japan, who also distribute Novation here. Of course, MI7 is based in Sweden. I cannot think of a connection between Novation and Sweden. Anyway I am the self determined one. I am sure I am always right.
