We'll absolutely keep an eye on the resource usage on this new account, both to watch our cost and the performance of the site in general. I'll be happy to share what we learn. I'm not too concerned about their pricing, because they have the option to upgrade to flat-fee "virtual dedicated."

Congrats on the move to MediaTemple ... The site is very fast and responsive right now.

Are you afraid of incurring overages under MediaTemple's new mysterious GPU system? Yes the site won't be shut down when you cross the 1000 GPU limit, but you immediately start incurring overage charges and aren't able to throttle the system.

Have you been able to get any sense yet of how much activity 1000 GPUs will actually allow? Can you share your findings with your readers?
