this thing better sample or at least be able to take in formated drum sounds via cd rom.i dont think that price should be the real issue.make it a classic-dont skimp.the futures waiting….

Okay, good point, Niall. I guess I like that I see some real manual control here (i.e., pads, not just controls) and analog sounds … the Jomox has the latter, of course, and both are very nice boxes indeed.

I sometimes completely lose my memory – slash – mind. I should add a disclaimer. ;)

Anyway, bring on more and we’re still happy.

How long is too long? Elektron’s Machinedrum UW is only year or so old, and the Jomox XBase 999 came out last year.

Beyond using an Evolver for drum synthesis? I am so ready.

Smith and Linn can do almost no wrong in my studio, so the two of them together should really push the boundaries of what a drum machine can sound like.
