New Music from Bjork, Radiohead

Two of many CDMer’s biggest musical heroes have new music out. Yes, you probably know about it, and yes, we will try to cover some wild, obscure stuff or relate this to technology or something soon. But I’d feel kinda funny not mentioning this. And I personally love both acts; I’ve just started processing their latest:

Radiohead Will Release Com-Lag (2+2=5) EP In The U.S., via Northwest Noise
Björk – Volta, fully reviewed by Suite 303

Let us know what you think of the new albums in comments.

I’ve owned the Com-Lag EP for a while now, as I imported it back in the day. I think that it’s great, and it took a hell of a long time to get over here. They sure do release a lot of really cool EPs everywhere except here in the US, usually Japan and England get all the fun.

I’ve only heard the “Earth Intruders (radio edit)” and I LOVE it. It sounds like a return to that old Bjork material when she was working with Matmos. I can’t wait to pick up Volta! If there’s an LP version available, I’ll be one happy guy.

Will Com-Lag have that terrible static error like the original release, or will it be corrected? I got the Japanese release in the mail a while back without hearing anything about it… and it scared the hell out of me when I was listened to it the first time.

Here in Holland we have a streaming server for new releases:

Björk’s latest didn’t do it for me. I love a lot of her older work, but I found this very one dimensional. It lacks great melodies (although there are great moments) and adventures arrangements.

Arggghhhh and here I thought you had info on the new Radiohead LP. Shame on me for getting excited before *reading* the article. Want to hear a studio version of Arpeggi soooooooooo bad.
