liz+peter: it was absolutely faboulus for me to be in Chicago at the very day of the Demo Swap. You did a great job actively connecting the professionals and talents present at the SONOTHEQUE, goob vibes, grooves and spirits all around.
Just having returned home to Vienna, Austria, Europe from our 3.000-mile trip you mentioned, we were extremly impressed with all the different parts of the USA which we encoutered. The endless corn fields in Illinois, woods and hills in Missouri, plains in Oklahoma and Texas, one face of the desert in New Mexico, a different one in Nevada, the tourist traps Santa Fe and Las Vegas, the Great Canyon, St. Louis, Oklahoma City, downtown Albuquerque…. we also liked the very small villages a lot, talking to people about their lifes, and everyone was extremly friendly.
Thank you again for all the work you are offering to the electronic music community, and I hope you like the 5.1-surround-jazz-thingy-DVD which I brought along to Chicago, karl.

foreigners appreciate this country more than we do the same way we appreciate their countries more than they do when we visit them :-p something about being in a place you’ve never been or know you won’t be able to see for a while or place you’re not familiar with or didn’t grow up in… hell i didn’t think much about california’s hills until friends from texas commented on how beautiful they were.
