Of course, the EoWave is not wireless, not that I'm sure if that matters for my use...

I'm just afraid I would get something like the miditron and never get it all working, there's a guy on the Ableton posting and he's having to make simple circuits to get the levels working...

Thanks for the info, Peter!

Oops... then I'll definitely have to take another look at the Eowave, being that much cheaper. As for the connections, I see screw terminals in the picture, plus "three-pin connectors" for compatibility with various sensors. In terms of how this all fits together, I'll have a look at it with Eric I hope in a couple of weeks (he's also in NYC.)

The Eowave is $300 w/usb or $350-ish with usb & midi.

So how do the sensors actually connect to the miditron?

Are there 1/8 sockets or something I'm not seeing?

No, you've got the box right here for attaching sensors, that's not a problem. You'll need to acquire sensors, yes, but that's no big deal ... super easy soldering there, just to make permanent whatever it is you're doing. I think this also winds up being cheaper than the Eowave, too.

What I'm kind of curious about, though, is how this compares to some of the other wireless solutions out there ... some of which may require more work but could be more affordable. I'm guessing it'll depend mostly on the project which you'd choose, but I'll try to do a survey of what's out there soon.

I have absolutely no DIY skills, but would like to use something like this.

I had been looking at the Eobody Eowave 2 because it is already put together and is a breakout box you just plug cables into.

I'm guessing that with this, you would have to obtain your own breakout box and components and solder them together?
