I think it might actually be Google Analytics Peter. My numbers there are down as well, however Site Meter shows them as being relatively steady. I’m not 100% sure though. I plan on keeping an eye on it over the next couple of weeks.

Does visits through RSS-aggregators show up in the statistics? I rarely visit the CDM site itself, but read avidly through Google Reader. If 1) aggregator traffic is not counted and 2) more people are moving to aggregators, this also might account for lower numbers.
