i LOVE making drums with operator. it is so simple, yet so intuitive. i have made a lot of really good sounding electro kits with it.

i just got a hold of FM8 and can’t wait to program even more crazy FM drums!!!

If you’re a beginner or you want to get into some of the new features in live 7 I recommend checking out Music Tech Magazine’s Ableton Live “Focus Issue”. It filled some gaps for me, even though most of the info and tips probably could be found elsewhere. On the Interwebs or the in the manual..

I don’t think this was specifically a dummy clips tutorial; didn’t mean to imply that — more about cascading follow actions.

But yes, I’m with Pierre — Bjorn’s tutorials are terrific, too, so check out *both*. I’ll also try to get some CDM tutorials going, too. There are plenty of different techniques possible with Ableton… there are often various ways of doing things. :)
