damn. how can you not like that? just listen to it for what it is, and it's great. it's just too short.

more generally, though, i feel you on this:

<blockquote>
Seriously though, what is it with alternate controllers and the aversion to playing something accessible to most listeners?
</blockquote>

but i like this.

i really like this. i think it's really cool what she's playing. feels simultaneously very cello-like and very digital. very weird.

Honey if you don't turn off Sportscenter and take out the trash right now I'm going to start playing my laser cello!

Seriously though, what is it with alternate controllers and the aversion to playing something accessible to most listeners? If you ignore the video and just listen to the audio from that you wouldn't think "What an amazing expressive instrument." It sounds like a cat jumping from synth to synth in a crowded Japanese synth shop.

@buzz; lol. If I had wired this, you really *would* see smoke.

And hey, as for other comments - doing great documentation is hard. Part of why we post things like this is so people get frank, constructive (hopefully) feedback!

I wish she played something a bit more.. eh.. tonal? Maybe something that lent itself to a cello interface instead of synth noise? Don't mean to crap on her video. I mean, really.. I wasn't smart enough to make a cello out of LASER BEAMS. But, it sounds more like laser drum triggers in the shape of a cello. Helene, more videos please!
