Yeah, Trilian is going to be amazing. The demo I heard makes the old Trilogy Acoustic Bass sound outdated, which is quite a feat.

It being free for us Intel-Mac users is just the icing on the cake.

ImpOSCar 2 does look amazing, I'm waiting on the VSM expansion set a well!

Yes, "V" as in the letter.

This video pretty much sums up my confusion:

And great to hear Omnisphere is working out for people. Trilian, meanwhile, looks fantastic...

"It’s an odd version number – five two?"

I believe that's actually the letter V rather than the Roman numeral. As in "Vintage" or possibly "Virtual" or "VST" (their original multi-synth bundle was called the Vintage collection, appears it's just called the V collection, so I'm going to go with the first choice).

Regarding the quietness of the Omnisphere launch, I think it's just that most people who've upgraded are busy being productive with the synth! Pretty much everyone I know who had Atmosphere has upgraded and are loving the hell out of the synth itself!

Highly recommend, the synth engine is extremely deep, yet intuitive to use.
