I'm trying to decide between the JunoG and the Korg M50. I play a lot for short form improv troupes and we do a lot of improvised songs ( the audience suggests a music genre - I've gotten Disco Punk and Heavy Metal Polka and I get literally two seconds to figure out how to pull it off) I think the phase feature on the M50 is perfect for this. I can sequence a music style phrase and then change chords with one finger. Does the JunoG have a similar feature? I'm a lifelong Roland user and don't want to jump ship.

Nice! Kinda new to midi so.. hard to figure out stuff like this from the manual. Use both Juno-g and MC-505 with Cakewalk Sonar, would b great to skip the computer when playing live... Any understandable knowledge on this (or midi at all) would be appriciated heaps.!!

Yep, for sure - you can route MIDI output from the sequencer. Hardware sequencers are great. :)

Hey! I wonder if it's possible to control another sound module via the midi-out with the juno-g's sequencer, so that you can arrange a song on the juno but use an external module for the drums for instance and make them both play at the same time..? I have a MC-505 that I would like to implement with my Juno-g...

I am curious too! I always wanted a Nord Wave, although I think if it came down to it i'd buy and modular. On the other hand i still love my SP-505. You can find them for under 200 bucks and they are great!

I've always liked hardware samplers...I can't let go of mine...I collect them with no abandon. I think part of it is that they used to cost anywhere between $1K to $3K and now I find them on ebay or craigslist for under 100 bucks.
My list is growing (S900 with Marion 16bit board, S1000, S330, W30, TX16W, an RZ-1, an sp-202, and a vestax mixer with sampler built in.)
I'm trying to find my copy of Keyboard magazine that reviews the Juno-G. I think you wrote it right Peter? I'm curious to hear what samples sound like and the effects on the samples.
