Ableton warping – ProTools style.

It never made sense to move the timeline. ProTools elastic audio go this right, ableton saw this and adopted it.

You can keep doing Ableton Live stuff… we don’t mind!! LOL…. Can’t wait to hear this when I get home…. especially the two controllers… since those are the only two I have now.. I tell you peter…. that APC is amazing.. I have just went from hating to set up my live sets… to now.. Poof it is there! I can’t believe this little box…. it will have a home in my studio until it dies! :)

Well like I said, I’m a huge fan cause of stuff I’d never even think to ask! Yeah, it’s a bit of a wonder to me that OSC has not become as ubiquitous as say…ReWire.

Since I’ve yet to invest in Sebelius, I’d like to see some basic stuff like how it really works with the Garritan sound set, how to take a simple idea (like say a 3 part horn arrangement) from one track of MIDI and ‘explode’ it into the correct transpositions/parts. How it handles MIDI-file imorts from different DAWS. And how some of the modern notation tricks work. But that’s just a personal list.

And of course you’ll let us know where the NI stuff migrates to?

The NI content I think may migrate elsewhere, but there’s more coming — Peter Dines spent last week working on this brilliant over-network OSC drum machine. We played with it last night with him in Montreal and me in NY.

Real-world Sibelius can be possible, for sure… what specifically?

I’m with J. Some real-world Sebelius stuff would be very welcome (especially after the latest version). More on Automap as well. And if I could make a request, some power-user stuff on Plogue Bidule. I’m using it as a simple VI host to circumvent the RAM limits in OSX, but I know this thing is deep (and cheap!).

And (cough) where is the promised (cough) new content for the NI section?

If you want an all-in-one tool, yeah, definitely ScreenFlow. Part of the reason I don’t use that, though, is just because I just want to nail the video part and then focus on editing in my existing video editing tool.
